Looking for that single bed for either small children, teenagers or maybe an aging parent living with you will take some time. Sometimes it is difficult to find them and also be inexpensive. Although cheap single beds are less expensive to make as they do not take as much material to make, that does not mean they are cheaper in quality.

There are many different stores that sell cheap single beds. Wanting one for a teenager’s room is fairly easy to buy. The best thing to do is take the teenager with you and let them decide on the style and you decide on the price. Some stores welcome it when you try and get them to come down on the price. Others will absolutely refuse to budge on the price. If you might be buying two cheap single beds, they might give you a discount; some will some will not.

Try to buy the floor model of cheap single beds, sometimes the store will knock off fifty or sixty dollars just to get rid of it; especially if new beds are coming in and they need the room.  One does not necessarily have to pay full price on cheap single beds or any bed for that matter. There are a few mattress stores and warehouses that will sell what they call refurbished beds, those that the mattress has been re-stuffed and the bed frame repainted or stained.

There are second hand stores and used furniture stores that sell cheap single beds. The prices are a real bargain and should really be checked out. Some offer the beds at half or more off the original price. That could really be a good deal as teenagers and children can be pretty rough on beds. Many states will not allow used mattresses to be sold, so do not consider buying them. Other than being against the law, they are not really healthy to buy.

When buying cheap single beds from a used furniture store could be well worth it. One might re-paint it or stain it. Designs can be put on them for the girls and camouflage colors for the boys. The ideas one can do with a used cheap single beds, it seems the list is endless. Many large department stores such as Macy’s and JC Penney sell cheap single beds as well. Although they might not be as cheap as from a second hand furniture store, they are cheap. They also include in the price delivery which is real nice for those who do not own a pickup truck to haul the bed in.

Children’s cheap single beds are different from an adult bed. They are a bit smaller in size as the dimensions are reduced to about thirty six inches, verses forty or fifty inches for an adult bed. If looking for cheap single beds for the toddlers and small children, consider the guard or side rails so they will not fall out of the bed. Some cheap single beds also come in extra length sizes for those who are over six foot.
